Memorial Day weekend in the Charlotte area offers a variety of events to honor our fallen heroes and celebrate the start of summer. With a mix of commemorative and celebratory events, Charlotte provides numerous opportunities to observe Memorial Day weekend in meaningful and enjoyable ways.
EVENTS
U.S. National Whitewater Center: Join the Memorial Day Celebration on May 24–25, featuring trail races, yoga sessions, and live music performances by Jovin Webb and Harper O’Neill. Admission is free; parking is $12.
Museum of the Waxhaws: On Monday, May 26, from 10am-3pm, explore war displays and enjoy Memorial Day crafts for kids. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and free for military members and children.
Carowinds is thanking U.S. military members and veterans on Memorial Day weekend by granting them free admission to the park, as well as discount tickets for their guests. Check out the details of Carowinds’ Military Days here.
